Itoh Project Prize in Plasma Turbulence
At this years European Physical Society (EPS) Conference on Plasma Physics in
Tarragona, 27 June - 1 July 2005, Professor S-I Itoh, in agreement with the
conference organizers, will be offering one PhD student the chance to visit
Kyushu University, Japan for 1 week. The lucky winner will receive an
expenses-paid trip (to cover flight and living costs) to one of the top plasma
research institutions in Japan!
To be considered for this excellent prize you must be a PhD student presenting
a poster at the EPS conference on Plasma Physics in Tarragona. During the
conference you will be allocated a time slot to be interviewed by Professor S-I
Itoh and the winner will be announced at the end of the conference. The
administration of this award is being facilitated in part by Plasma Physics and
Controlled Fusion (PPCF), of which Professor Itoh is a Deputy Editor, so the
winner will also be announced on the PPCF website.
To enter your poster, simply send an e-mail with the subject Itoh Project
Prize to ppcf@iop.org. Please include your name, your poster number and the day you are
presenting your poster and you will be sent an appointment. All appointments
will also be listed at the PPCF exhibition table at the conference and on the
conference notice board.
